Nutrition Counseling, Coaching & Education
January 5, 2021
We have turned the page on 2020 and with it, go all of the “could haves, would haves, and should haves”. 2021 is here and it’s the perfect time for a fresh start!
I’ve never been a huge advocate of making resolutions at the beginning of each new year. Rather, I like to simply look at a new year as a new opportunity. An opportunity to try something new or different, to push yourself just a little bit farther, to reach a little higher, and to believe in yourself.
My challenge for each one of you reading this is to pick one thing to do in the year ahead that revolves around bettering your health. Maybe you commit to walking at least 1 mile every single day this year. Or maybe you aim for a goal of 5 miles every week. Perhaps you decide to try a new fruit or vegetable on the first day of every month. Maybe you sign up for an exercise class online or take up learning an instrument. Maybe you cut out alcohol for 30 days to see how your body feels. Maybe you decide to get a massage once a month. Perhaps you commit to nourishing your soul by cutting out time spent with toxic people and focusing on time spent with those who truly make you happy and breathe life into you. Maybe you decide to run a marathon!
Whatever it is you decide to do this year, go all in and do it.
Chin up, shoulders back, and breathe. You have got this!
